Several crew members on the set of Eddie Murphy's movie "The Pickup" were injured Saturday while performing a stunt.
"On April 20, an accident occurred on the set of 'The Pickup' during a rehearsed 2nd unit action sequence. Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result," an Amazon MGM Studios spokesperson told USA TODAY Wednesday.
The studio said it is "still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering."
"The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry standards of safety while filming," the spokesperson added. "All safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot."
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, a union that represents crew members, told Variety and The Hollywood Reporter they are "aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of ‘The Pickup’ and have started an inquiry."
USA TODAY reached out to representatives for IATSE.
The action movie stars Murphy, Keke Palmer, Pete Davidson, Eva Longoria and Marshawn Lynch, according to IMDb.
Video obtained by The New York Times shows two vehicles, an SUV and an armored truck, colliding before the truck does a 360 flip and lands back on the wheels. Several crew members appear to be dislodged from the truck in the process.

One of the crew members has a GoFundMe as he recovers from his injuries.
"Marvin Haven was involved in a tragic accident while at work on a film set in Atlanta," the description states. "He is currently in the ICU with extensive bodily injuries, which includes broken ribs, multiple fractures in his neck and back, a shattered scapula, punctured lung, and a skull fracture which will require facial reconstructive surgery."
The description continued, "We are so grateful and blessed that our beloved friend is still alive, but his road to recovery will undoubtedly be long, difficult, and faced with unimaginable challenges."
Haven's family asked for donations "big or small" to aid in his recovery and offset the emotional toll for his wife Melissa.
"To know Marvin, is to know that he loves his work as a Dolly Grip and has been perfecting his craft for over 26 years. It is heartbreaking to know that he may never get to go back and do what he loves," the GoFundMe says.
